About Us

Hi there! We are the Plouzek family - Marcus & Alexis, along with our little crew Elsa, Rosie & Jones - and we are thrilled that you’re here!

Flourish Farmette has been a dream we have had since our high school days when we had a business selling sweet corn & veggies from the bed of a pickup truck in Lincoln. We grew to love selling fresh garden goods to our community, and Marcus even became known as “the corn guy” around town! But life got busy, our “real”careers and family grew, and it seemed that our love of gardening and selling goods to the community would simply remain a memory of our past.

However, when 7 acres came up for sale just over a mile from our current home and right outside city limits, we took a leap and bought it within 24 hours. We had big visions of a little flourishing farmette (i.e. tiny hobby farm) where we could grow flowers & garden goods to sell to our community once again. We have quickly learned that actually growing garden goods is much more difficult than selling them and we are NOVICE farmers. This year has been one of growth (more in the personal realm than the garden one!)  but we are excited to bring you on our journey - follies, mistakes and all - as we really try to turn our current 7 acre weed patch into a flourishing farmette!
