Henry I Purple Potted Aster
Rich lavender-purple, fully double blooms create a stunning display that resembles miniature zinnias. Prolific flowering and a naturally rounded, well-branched habit provide exceptional color for porches, patios, and fall landscapes. An extra-early season bloomer, Henry™ I Purple begins flowering in late August to early September, delivering vibrant fall color weeks before many other asters.
Caring for your asters:
Asters can be used in pots as fall porch decor, but also can be planted as a perennial in your garden beds. Thrives in moist, fertile, slightly acidic, well-drained soils but highly adaptable. Prefers cool summer climates. Water deeply, regularly during the first growing season to establish an extensive root system. For a neat, tidy appearance, remove old foliage before new leaves emerge. Divide clumps every 2 to 3 years in early spring.
Fulfillment:
Plants can be picked up from our farm (10113 Pioneers Blvd just east of Lincoln) at a designated pick up times which you select at checkout. Because our plants are grown outside and thus subject to mother nature, there is always a small risk that mums could succumb to the elements. If one or several of your mums perish prior to pick up, a refund will be given for those that don’t make it to your porch!
